Bridging the Gap
Despite being qualified and capable of succeeding, many students can't afford college tuition or place a heavy financial burden on their families to enroll. Others lose motivation in High School because they know post-secondary school is financially out of reach. Scholarships ensure admitted students can pursue education and motivate all students to stay engaged in school to achieve their goals.
Local Support
Our organization has had a personal relationship with Avenorpedo since 2016. We've worked with local leaders to create a targeted and sustainable program that has full community support. Students applicants are vetted and nominated by trusted local leaders before they become eligible for a scholarship.
Traceable Funds
Scholarship amounts are based on actual tuition and room/board bills. When possible, payments are made directly to the school and not to third parties. This means you'll know how your donation is benefits the community and be confident that it gets used for its intended purpose.
Capacity Building
We believe that development initiatives focused on capacity building is the best approach to help people in developing economies. Instead of giving money, resources or foreigner-led training, supporting the existing in-country institutions that promote capacity building, such as Ghanaian-led higher education, will help create sustainable growth in local communities.

Our sponsorship profile pages are designed so you can get to know the students on a deeper level and understand their personal interests and ambitions. Throughout the year, we'll send you updates on students' progress so you can find out exactly how your donation helped students achieve their goals.
Direct Impact
When you sponsor a student, we guarantee that at least 80% of your donation goes directly to paying their tuition and other education related expenses. We are a small, lean, locally-focused NGO with very little overhead, which enables us to use your donation to directly benefit the student your sponsoring.
